TechX 2.0

April 20, 2018—RCDSB TechX at FHS in Pembroke, ON

TechX 2.0 was the continuation of the first RCDSB TechX event held at Opeongo High School in February of 2016. In 2018, over 100 students and RCDSB staff came together to showcase design thinking and coding & robotics using the Lego EV3 robots.

Schools involved in TechX 2.0:

AHD, WZD, AJC, FHS, CDS, BCH, EGN, RCK, HVW, PAL, MCS, KIL, and VAL.

The purpose of TechX 2.0 is to draw awareness to new technologies (computer coding and robotics software and devices), and to promote design thinking, computational thinking, and global competencies such as collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, citizenship, and community, all of which are important skills that can be applied across the curriculum.
